truck keeps dying

so saturday i rebuilt my carbureator and since then my truck has been dying! It starts strong but after running for about 30sec or when i put in D not R it will start sputtering, and the idle drops way down and it wants to die. But if i give it a bit of gas it will start back up again. Any ideas why its doing this? Idle speed to slow, bad gas?... any ideas?

Just a guess, but have you checked for vacuum leaks?

I had that same problem, turned out my plugs were to wide and the timing was off by quite a bit. Sounds great when its just idling but falls flat on its face when its in gear.

If it started when you rebuilt the carb, then it is 99% probability it's a problem with the carb.
Vac leaks
float level wrong, check for too high
idle mixture set wrong
idle speed set wrong
