Crown Vic Front End, what to do?
Well i think it might have to change directions with my truck project. I had to sell my late model family truckster and the 66 truck is going to be my new Daily driver (though i dont drive daily). The 352 just bit the dust and my 390 build should be done this week.
I orginally purchased a 2006 police interceptor front end to swap into my truck. one of the coolest bolt in mods i have ever seen.

the idea was to go crazy and put a fuelie 4.6, overdirve tranny, disk rear, the whole 9 yards... all while lowering perfectly and getting big disk brakes up front, power rack and pinion steering, and better handling. Problem is with rims and everything else associated with this project, the truck would be down for a long time and cost some money. Money that i dont have, and likely wont have for a very long time.
When my engine went recently, the most economical thing for me to do to get it back on the road was to build a 390 a buddy had sitting around. now going through all that trouble and looking to the future i think i need to scrap the Police Interceptor idea. think ill keep it simple and get a disk brake setup off a dent side... i already have everythign for power steering in the garage.
Im wondering if anyone wants to trade this front end (from a 13k mile cop car. i pulled it off the cruiser myself, inspected the car and the auction bill of sale, verified low miles) for a set of dream beams. i think id want the dent side version as i noticed there is a difference in part numbers, i assume for the disk brake spindle setup. dont care if they are used as long as they are straight and the bushings are good. just a thought...
because this front end works in bump and probably dent sides, do you think it would be a major no-no to cross post the feeler?

I also used the drive train from my donor car and am very happy with how it all works well with the F100 and F100 frame.

Everything I have read says to go with a 2003-2011 CV front end. I installed a 2005 in mine and it drives very nice, was reasonably easy to install and provides a modern front end assembly.
