What type shocks are you running?

Just like the title says. What shocks r you running. I need to get some for my 89. Not looking to break the bank or max the credit card either. Saw some skyjackers for 44 each and bilsteins running about 89 each. Never ran either though so I don't know what's good. What yall recommend?

Im currently not running shocks

When I did they were rough country specials that compliment the bulldozer springs nicely. Im really considering Bilstein 5125 or 5150s when I swap out my springs.

Are the Bilsteins worth the money? The front is where I need them the most. Running over ripples in the road the suspension doesn't want to settle back down. I know it's the front, I can feel it in the wheel. The back is stiff enough I could probably run without if needed for a wile

I have Bilstien 5150's on my stupid duty which pulls duty as a tow rig and plow truck. Rides great for a big truck, much better than stock. For my offroad truck, I have ProComp ES9000's. They handle the bumps good, but then again I have some really stiff springs.

They have served their purpose. My 150 is stiff as crap with the 2 add-a-leaf kits (2" short and 4" 2 leaf long kits) out back, and the custom made Skyjacker 1 ton rated coils up front. When I had the plow on 7'6" plow up front, it would only drop about 1/2", and I have had a little over 4000lbs in the bed before and the rear only squatted about 2".

Do the 5150's have a remote or fixed reservoir? Some sites say one thing and others say another

Then that should be the 5125s. 5150s have the little fixed reservoir.

Bilstien 5100's on the SDuty (and they're GREAT!) and ProComp ES3000's on the '79 (bought them when I was young and dumb, but no complaints).
