Dude, Where's my truck!

Hey Guys,

I wanted to see if anyone here could help me. I was cleaning out the attic the other day and I ran across an old tag receipt for my 1991 Ranger. The thing about this is that this was the very first "new" truck that I bought. Well I got to thinking about how I would like to find this truck and buy it back if I could.

Can anyone run a VIN report and tell me where it may be?

Thanks

Depending on the State that you live in, that info is generally available to only law enforcement and/or DMV.

doesn't carfax and things like that tell you where and when it was last registered and if it has been in any accidents

I did the carfax think and it states that there are 3 reports that I could get for the low price of about $20. I hate the thought of spending $20 just to find out that it was a "cash for clunkers" or something! I know that Law Enforcement can but they won't do it for just anyone wanting information, and I can respect that, I just didn't know if anyone knew of another resource.
