Lightbulb F150 Plat Nav/DVD Sys ???

Just bought a 2010 F150 Plat, and it's got the Nav/DVD System in it. It's my first Ford in over 20 years, so the Nav/DVD is new to me.

Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for removing the safety feature on the Nav/Dvd in order to allow features to operate while the vehicle is not in Park?

I was reading about a module called LockPick, any comments?

Smile RE:RE:F150 Plat Nav/DVD Sys ???

Thanks for the rapid response. I've read all your attached links and come to the short conclusion that I really don't need it that bad right now. While, I agree with some of the critics that it's unsafe to have the temptation of watching a movie while driving. I also see the point of having the ability to type a POI or waypoint as it was called in my previous vehicle, which did allow me too do this. I curently own a portable GPS that allows you to type the POI as well. I was talking to a co-worker and he also had a suggestion, why not make the option available when you have a passenger sit in the seat. It could be programmed to work much like the passenger air bag on most vehicles, simply turns on or off when it senses the weight or pressure on the built in sensor switch in the passenger seat? Might not be such a bad idea, for atleast the POI typing capability. Just more food for thought. Thanks again for the help.

As to the typing the POI, you can enter in POIs on the fly by using the voice commends. I did it the other day as a matter of fact just for the hell of it.

It'll take some getting used to with the commends, but it's a way around not being able to type it on the go. I've noticed though that most stock GPS units do not allow for this feature, I'm more then confident it's for liability reasons and not trusting people to have the common sense of not to do it in certain circumstances(I know I wouldn't), however your a/m ones either allow this initially or have an easy way around it. This also applies to being able to view video without the parking brake engage.
