bought 92 F250 this weekend-need help

Brought home a 92 F250 with 4.9 six cylinder and 5 speed trans.139000 miles and a new paint job.
Runs really good eccept for an exhaust leak, but one problem is when I go to start the truck,I have to really push the clutch through the floorboard to enguage the starter safety switch.
Now, here is what I have checked:

Looked at the starter safety switch and where the shaft eye connects to the bracket coming off the clutch pedal rail, the tip is very worn as well as the plastic insert that snaps into the shaft end.

Question:can the bolt at the end of the pedal rail that holds this bracket on(dont know the proper name for the bracket)be removed to get the bracket off?and is the bracket a dealer only item and also the plastic insert that snaps onto the shaft eye and slides onto the bracket tip?

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks
