I've acquired a 1961 Ford Unibody. It is straight, and runs well. We run a street rod shop in Salem, OR (bowersrodshop.com) so I have access to everything I need to make it as good as new (except the funding).
In High School I had a 66, but let it go because it was a long bead. Now I have this short bed, and I am going to hold onto it. I would like to have it ready for my son when he is ready to drive. I've always liked the yellow/white Moon Eyes truck. It is clean, crisp. and not to tricked out.
My plans, in order:
-Repair rust on floorboards and bed
-Change bench seat to buckets
-Off set wheels and drop a few inches
-Add power steering and tilt column
-Upgrade to 5.0 and automatic trans
-New paint
I'll be asking for help throughout the process, as this appears to be the best reference on the web. I've already found some answers in past posts. I also hope to offer some insight if I can!
First, I need help filling out my profile with the trucks information, but I don't know if it is an F100, F150, etc. Can anyone help?
