Mine seams to stay around 150*. Granted its not been warm out. But I would have thought I would be at least at operating temps 190*+ regardless of what the out side temps are.

What are you running?

I am just wondering if my gauge is bad

Not necessarily. I'll run 180 during this time of year with 20-30 ambient temp, however, I do run hotter then "your" stock or just tuned truck, so you should keep that in mind. It'll get hotter if I'm blowing down the interstate at 80-85 though.

I'm usually running 185*-190*F, but I imagine this summer while towing the temps are going to get higher.

Did you replace your thermostat when you did your flush? Or after you ran it without coolant? It has to be pretty cold outside (like below freezing) for me to run as low as 160. And I think my thermostat needs replaced.

I'm thinking maybe running it without coolant damaged your thermostat.

Does this look like the right part? I think it may come with the O ring too.

Got it installed, the rear bolt was a bit of a bugger. I have not driven it enough to see if this fixed the problem of not.

Yea I like going to OReilys. They seam to always have what I need and they have good prices too. And there is one three blocks from where I work. So getting there at lunch is easy.
