my new roomate here on the rig has a 8.1 hd.he is already saying his is bigger than mine!I have one more week to go
and need to shut him up any suggestions?
He's talking trash while you guys are still on the rig?? First get a hold of his keys. (you can sell it for mod money) Then let him Sleep wit da fishes..eh..eh..eh.
The 8.1 has a notorious appetite for oil. Ask him if it's a 2-cycle and is burning all that oil, or if it is just leaking out the pipe when he drives down the highway.
Just don't tell him about the V10 plug ejection problem.
Yea!!! I knew we let Nomo hang around here for a reason. He's our Mole... I hope none of those cheby guys see you posting in here and figure out that you're a spy!
It's not the SIZE thats "impotent", but what you can do with the EQUIPMENT that COUNTS !!! ...at least thats what Monsta,Rottn,Yeti, and Abendx all said......

Know what the pisser is? I was told this week that I could start working from home. Thus, my driving will drop from 100 miles/day to 0 miles/day. I COULD have kept my V10!!!
my chevy buddy is saying how his truck doesnt run real good right now ,saying how he wants to make that 496 run.I told him how my truck will burn rubber from a dead stop, he says his allison transmission wont let him do that whatever that means!

V10KLZZ71S,
He has traction control. I thought it could be turned off, though!
Don't worry, his acceleration off the line will be worse, along with his gas mileage (6 to 8 MPG, due to lead foot).
I looked in to a K2500 burb, but like the 'X' to much.
As HarryO said, if it's an automatic push-button 4x4, his issue is probably traction control. Nothing about the Allison will keep you from spinning the tires... not that I would have ever tried this in my D/A truck.
I'd just let him think his problem is that weak GM big-block.
Darn tootin'!
Pretty sure I'm going to be getting rid of this truck as soon as I "legally" can. Purchasing via the employee plan requires a 6-month ownership. With our new work-at-home policy, I think another big Ford gasser is in my future.
