I am looking for places to go ths spring and summer. I am looking more for cruze ins over shows. I have a 66 Ford truck that I would like to go out in. Its not perfect, it could use a paint job to refreshen it. Anyway I live in Smithville and would like to go to somewhere within a hour away. Maybe something I can go to on a Saturday afternoon. Anyone know of something like that let me know.

***** we have a gathering every Saturday night in Mt Juliet at Chick Fila. Its exit 226 on I40 at Providence Mall and in the summer we have had 400 plus cars and trucks. Just a good time with a band sometimes and even door prizes.

 

I may have to check that out later on. I need to check the truck out a little before I go that far. But I would like to head out that way. I may have to try out Lebanon to see how the old truck does. I did drive it last year a hour or two before I went to the cruise in att mcminnville. Don't be suprised if you see me there.

Will do. If you come to a event my way let me know. I may have to make it. I want to work up to the longer rides. I plan on taking the truck and my Scotty camper to McMinnville in May. Some of them wanted to see the scotty. I want to work my way out and go a little farther each time. I am planning going to Woodbury and sparta maybe in may as well. I have a Uncle that has a 48 Chevy that has been wanting me to go to some with him and his wife. So my wife and I might have to talk him into going to Mt. juliet so he can follow me there.

 

Here's a list of cruise in's I try to attend in my area; upper middle tennessee.
Hendersonville exit 4 opposite side of Veterans blvd from hospital, every Friday night in the Kohls shopping center parking lot. (has about 150 to 200 per gathering.

Clarksville 1st Saturday every month (Memory Lane Cruiser) exit 11 I-24 Kmart parking lot. (has about 50 per gathering.

Hopskinville Ky; third saturday; just past the mall on right (41A hwy) in the Kmart parking lot. (has about 100 to 200 per gathering.

Again these are close to me; with 93 Octane and 10mph I don't go to far for a evening cruise. I rather attend cruise in's instead of Show's, peep's worry to much about being judged!
I'm planning my next build to be more economic to drive & crusie in. Money is tight and recently built two trucks last year. so it will be a slower process for this one to be complete.
