Hey everyone. With spring approaching, its time to start whipping Pearl into shape. She's a little rough, with rust in the usual areas. The front mounts, drivers floor, cab corners, and roof all need some tlc. I managed to score some NOS mounts off craigslist for $75. I'm looking at going with Carpenter for the floor and corners, and a buddy has a '79 with a non existant cab floor that I can cut a small corner out of the roof. My question is, are the Carpenter repops worth it? I'm looking to use only US made panels because this truck is so special to me, and I want the best panels I can get.

 

Im not sure when it comes to buying them, i either go to a JY to get a panel, or build my own patches. Once you get the knack of it down theyre pretty easy.

 

Thanks for the input, but anything I would find in a junkyard would be just as bad if not worse that what I have. PA winters are not kind to dentsides. As far as making them...not a chance. If I were just patching it up, pop rivets and sheetmetal would be in, this is a full on restoration and I want it to look undisturbed.
