I don't know - previous owner installed it appears. Appeared to be spray type DIY as well

Al's liners. I think I might hit it with another kit. I missed a few spots, noticed it when I pulled it outside.

Just checked out the Al's Liners website. For a DIY product, it looks pretty good. Catalyzed system, and with the cost of the spray applicator ($55), you're into it for just over $200. (There's also extras for added thickness, nonskid, etc.) If I didn't already have Line-X in my bed, I would consider this product myself.

Here's a link: Al's Liner. DIY Truck Bed Liners!

I bought the Al's Liner spray gun. When I was at Harbor Freight a few weeks ago, they had one similar (money to be saved). I had already bought the Al's. After doing another coat, I'm going to spray the inside of my jeep and eventually the rockers on my powerstroke (red). Still worried about the fade tendency of red!

A couple years down the road you'll likely be dissapointed with the Herculiner. My nephew did his Ranger bed with it and it's coming up in quite a few spots. He did a pretty thorough job with cleaning and 36 grit.

Next step up obviously, is Line-Ex or Rhino but then your jumping up way more in cost. Hard to beat though. I have the Line-Ex in mine and like how it has more of a non skid surface than the Rhino. Has held up darn well to maneuvering full 55 gallon drums.

Did you use the SEM kit? I'm leaning that way, its half the price of linex...

I used a SEM kit to spray the inside of a Scout II I had about 15 years ago. Not sure if it's the same system that's on the market today. Things available to consumers are much different now then they were then. It used an undercoating gun to apply, and it was a catalyzed polyurethane mixture. It went on nice, and was hard as a rock. My only criticism might be that it was so hard it was bit slippery.

Edit: I'm taking most of the above statement back. I went back through this thread and realized I did not go with the SEM system on my Scout like I thought I remembered doing. (Memory lapse. Been happening a lot lately) I do remember the kit being similar in that it was a 2 part catalyzed system applied with an under coating gun. I do not recall the brand name though.

As per my experience, it is a very easy job. you need to make a schedule in morning in hard sunlight to make the color particles fixed immediately to your truck bed. Bedliners are many but quality bedliners are less which lasts for many years. Of course it depends also how you use it your truck bed.
