53-56 running boards

odd question, are the 53-56 pickup running boards the same width (from body to lip) the same as a 53-56 panel truck. I'm trying to find another decent set of running boards for my panel, but I'm only finding fiberglass. I found some used pick-up boards online and was wondering if I can just section my panel boards.

the "filler" panel is almost as wide as the door.

I only have a panel, but since the front fenders are the same as the pickup, I'd guess the front of the running boards are too.
