torque converter slippage?

I have a 94 f150 5.0 4x4. It's been my pride and joy and the biggest painin my butt.
PROBLEM 1
I have a faulty #3 cylinder only 20 psi (Keep in mind)
when i go and step on the gas, both from dead stop and going down the highway, the engine will rev up but the truck won't gain in speed.
PROBLEM 2
When i go to turn a corner, after I turn the wheel to the direction I want to go, the engine gets real boggy and sputtery.

what could be causing this or could it just be the faulty cylinder.
