Good evening Steve, how was your day?
Mine started off on a very sour note, in a hurry trying to get to a job and didn't check the hitch on my welding trailer. It came uncoupled about 2 miles down the road at about 50 MPH. the small safety chains didn't have a chance. A trailer with welder, torches and a box full of welding rods and assorted tools does not look good when doing somersaults down the road. It tossed the torch bottles out of the rack, don't know how it didn't break the valves or regulators, emptied the storage box, several rod boxes opened and scattered rods and tools in the ditch. The trailer is FUBAR!!!!!! but it only broke a few wires and put a dent in the gas tank of my welder. I repaired it and still did the job that I was headed to.
Note to self, next time check the hitch and put on some safety chains that are good for more than just looks.
I just thank God that there was no traffic in the area when this mishap happened, I have seen first hand what happens when a loose welder goes head on with a Mack dumptruck, it ain't purty
Guess I am out of the mobile welding business for now. I am still a few weeks from having my new service truck ready to mount the welder on.

I always give the safety chains on my camper a 2nd look when I hook them up. They just don't look big enough, maybe its time to upgrade those.
I think the trailer just couldn't stand to be hooked up to that Dodge... , just kidding
I'm glad nobody got hurt, and you were able to fix the welder..
