1992 F350 4WD Rim Size
#16
I know this is somewhat of an old thread, but from personal experience, the original stock rims from a F250 may not fit a stock F350. The hubs of the two vehicles are significantly different in diameter, the F250 being smaller. While the rims from a 350 will fit the lug pattern of the 250, the hub hole of the 250 will not fit the 350. It seems to, but it does not fit so that the rim seats against the lug plate. When the truck is moving the action of the road on the rim will loosen the lug nuts and beat the rim into failure. I do not have the internal diameter of the F250 stock rim. So, be careful and check for fit carefully.

the f-250 and F350 both use the sterling 10.25 rear axle, and either a dana 50 or dana 60 front axle if 4wheel drive. the d-50 and 60 both use the same exact hub, so the f250 and f350 use the same rims.
unless you are talking about a 99 and newer. they are a different bolt pattern than the older trucks and will not work.

I own a 1979 F250 4x4 and a 1990 F350 4x4. I can guarantee you that both the corresponding front hubs and rear hubs of both vehicles are of slightly different diameters. One needs to be careful of using Ford rims interchangeably between 3/4 and one ton models. The bolt patterns are identical however the center hub holes, though they appear to fit, may not. I speak from experience and not a manual or reading.

that is a completely different set of animals.
your 79 has a dana 60 rear axle. the 90 has a sterling 10.25 axle in the rear.
when people ask about rim size in a specific forum, they usually are talking about like year and body style trucks. not trucks that are completely different in every form except for the name on the hood.

92 F350 with a 3-4 inch lift will fit 35X12.5X16 wheels on 10 inch rims with no problems at all, unless you do very aggressive 4 wheeling. then you will have to trim the front bumper, or shim it out a bit to keep the wheels from hitting on full suspension compression when turning.
i do not think 15 inch rims will fit over the rotors and calipers without hitting the calipers. .
