Weight of a F350 CrewCab/Longbed

Does anyone by chance know what the weight of a 03 F350 with a crewcab and longbed would be? The gross weight rating is 9900 lbs, but am unsure what the weight of the truck itself is. Thanks in advance

Since you indicated that the F-350 has a GVWR of 9,900 lbs, I assume that you are concerned with an F-350 CC LWB with Single Rear Wheels. Here is the published weight and carrying capacity of that configuration.

F-350 CC LWB SRW
GVWR: 9,900 lbs.
Weight: 6,405 lbs.*
Carrying Capacity: 3,495 lbs.*

* - These weights are "dry" weights i.e, no fuel, oil, passengers, stuff, etc. The actual weight of the truck and carrying capacity will be higher and lower respectively. The only way to accurately determine the weight and carrying capacity is to weigh the truck with a full tank of gas/diesel and the normal load of passengers and stuff. Subtract this weight from the GVWR of 9,900 lbs and you have the actual carrying capacity of your truck.

Best regards,

Jeff

My '99 F350 weighed in with:

3,920 lbs on the front axle (that good lookin' Power Stroke Diesel weighs about 1,000 lbs..dry)

2,840 lbs on the rear axle

Total GVW: 6,760 lbs

The weight is with no one in the truck and 29 gallons of diesel on board.

I had mine at the scales this week w/ no load, half tank diesel and me was 8900lbs. It is a chassis truck w/12' flatbed dump. Dosen't seem right to me though.

brentsawyer, I've had considerable experience estimating the weight of pickups (20 years as a state trooper) and 8900lbs seems awful high for that truck empty. Either you have an awfully heavy bed on it, or the scales were off. I think I'd reweigh it at a weigh scale operated by the state you live in. Most will do that for you if you ask them for no charge. I have done it on every truck I've ever owned except my new one and the only reason I haven't done it, is that I've only owned it 2 days.

Freightrain's weight sounds about right for his truck.

I don't know if it's high, my F-450 PSD reg.cab with a 11' steel dump w/sides, 30"x30" tool box, a full tank of diesel and myself weighs in at a little over 10,000lbs empty.

I had my '00 F350 PSD CC 4x4 DRW on an Interstate Scale at a Williams Travel Center while we were installing the scale and the guy calibrating the scale put mine at 8,400lbs. That included myself, probably 3/4 tank of diesel, and a tool box w/ approx. 200lbs tools.
Considering he was the scale technician, I must assume it was accurate.
Just my 2 cents worth...

Just weighed my '03 Crewcab Dually Long box, 4X4, Lariat, DRW, 6.0 PSD, Torqshift. I ran it across the scales and got a printout. With me in it (210lbs) it weighed in at 7940lbs. 4700 of that was on the front axle! Hope that helps
