How much did you pay for your IDI?

OK, back on the subject.
'93 F350 XLT Crewcab 4wd NA with a ZF and 4.10's
Paid $10K in July '02 with 200K.
I looked at dozens and dozens of trucks in the PNW and this one was, by far, the nicest and cleanest truck I had seen. I was going to meet the guy to look at it and was a few minutes early. We were sitting at a stop light and this crewcab turned from the street I was waiting to turn on. I told my wife that I hoped that the truck we were going to look at was as nice as that one was. As it turned out, it was the same truck.
I've used and abused it. Neglected it. It's hauled and pulled everything I've ever asked of it. More than made up what I paid for it.

year: 93
model: F-350 dually 4 door crew cab with utility bed and 2" square tubing ladder racks
driveline: 7.3 idi turbo
mileage:176k
price: 3,500
this thing is a hoss! worked died down and i let it sit for six months, big mistake. I am fighting fuel issues. body is solid, wiring is rigged, (I have a house light switch to start it and a push pull toggle for wipers) blower motor is inop, and all my interior door handles are broke. I love this thing but I am about ready to shoot it if I cant get air out of fuel lines!

Year: 1988
Model: F-350
Trim: cusom
Driveline: 5 speed
Mileage when purchased and date: unknown, shows 79,000, could be 179 or 979.
price paid: $4000 worth of sheetrock hanging.
Supposevly the guy has over 6 grand into this truck. It has a rugby flatbed, new those are $2300, he bought a supposevly rebuilt 6.9, rebuilt tranny and drive line, with new rear end.
It looks like I got a good deal, based on some of the prices I've seen here.

1990 F350
229K miles.
ZF5, 4WD ( D50) extra cab, big brush guard and a 9' flat bed.
New tires, glow plugs, SMF, clutch, injectors and IP.
It needed battery's and front brakes.
$1500 and it ran great for 50 miles before the HG blew.

And looking back at what I paid for mine brand new, 23,500$
I went on Ford.com a while ago just for the fun of it, I build and Priced my own truck. Came to 28,000$ for a 2010 F250 4x4 reg. cab, long box, 6 speed standard, 6.4 Twin Turbo Diesel, XL base model, Only option I put on was Tow/Camper Package witch is 400$ if I remember right. All same equipement as mine, and only 2,000$ more than the asking price of mine 20 years ago. lol

Not sure if mine counts but here goes.
88 xlt Bronco
engine: original 302 efi now 6.9 n/a
trans: was np435 4speed now c6
driveline: was ford 8.8 rear dana44 front now dana 60 rear dana 50 front
4x4
mileage: unkown for the body the 6.9 had 280,000 + and now has over 320,000 on it
I gave $500 for the Bronco and it is rusted prety good. The donor 86 F250 for the diesel stuff cost me $1100 and since I have put about $2000 in it. All in all I have over $15,000 in this truck and it is still a work in progress. I have put two 302's in it, five trannies lol, and put new heads, injectors, gp's, did the rods and mains on the 6.9. People say I could have bought a better truck for the money I have put into it but it is a unique truck and is just what I want.
