steering squeak 2001 F250
Whenever the steering wheel is turned either direction the front end squeaks loudly. The ball joints have 20,000 miles on them and I jjust lubed all the zerks, but it still squeaks. I sat in the driveway and I cranked the wheel back and forth a bunch of times and it seemed to go away. I took the truck for a drive and sure enough the squeaking came back. I searched the forums but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or are there other steering parts that I missed that could cause this squeak when the wheel is turned?? It does not appear to be a suspension noise it only does it when the wheel is turned??

Try greasing all the zerks with the front end in the air, (supported on the frame). With the load of the truck when you lube them, there may be areas that don't get grease, So remove the load and grease it again so that it allows the lube to get to spots where it may not get to with a load on the suspension.
