will 33" tires fit on a stock 95 f150 ext. cab 4x4? or is 32" tires the biggest tires you can fit on there stock? I have 31" bf goodrichs on there now but i want alittle bigger tire and if 33"s will fit i have a buddy that can sell me a set dirt cheap. I do not want to spend any money on a leveling kit i just need to know whats the biggest size that will fit without any lift or fender trimming.

 

Nice truck! I guess that is what mine was suppose to look like before the rust. I have heard that the 32 's will fit but to go to 33's you need a lift.

 

Some guys run 33's and get away with it, but they tend to rub a little bit.

 

My friend had 33s on his stock 85 and I'm pretty sure the wheel wells are the same size as our trucks. The tires did rub, but he had no problems wheeling his truck hard.
The only thing I can think may be a problem is the front bumper rubbing hard. I put tires that were about 2 sizes bigger than stock on my 93 F-250, and had to move the bumper out a bit (1/2") because the tires hit when turned either direction.

 

Yup, bumper needs trimmed or moved for 33s to fit the '92-96

 

How hard is it to move the bumper out ?

 

Easy. You crawl underneath the front end and add washers between the bumper and the frame ends.

 

I had 33's on my 89 and the only problem was they rubbed the radius arms a bit when i would turn sharp, but thats no big deal. I say do it if there cheap thats why i did it.

 

i had 33 super swampers on a 87 f150 no lift.. now i have 35' 15.50's on a 3 inch body lift

 

Anymore info on moving the bumper a tad would be great! right now with 31" bf goodrich all terrains i have 2 1/2" in the frontof the tire to the front bumper and 4" from the back of the tire to the fender. I would love to squeeze 33s and i dont mind it rubbing at all i just would like the bigger tires to make it look better and also would be good out on the construction job to have 12"s of surface vs 10"s of surface on these 31"s

 

I know im bringin back an old post, but i figured its better than posting the same question. i have a 1.5-2" leveling kit from bronco graveyard on order and a set of aftermarket wheels with 3.75" backspace. think that would fix the rubbing with 33x12.50?

 

10" wheel with 3.75" backspacing? What wheel does it have now? Don't say stock there are 3 different versions.. 7", 7.5", and 8" all with 0 offset which equals 3.5", 3.75", and 4" backspacing.

 

I think the only issue you will have with rubbing is the front bumper. I have 33x12.5x15's on mine with a 1.5" level in the front end, on 15x10 wheels with 4" backspacing. They only rubbed on the front bumper before I spaced it out and trimmed the lower lip on the bumper with a grinder.

 

they are the stock 15"x7.5" 5 hole. and the aftermarket wheels are pro comp steelies 15 X10" with 3.75

I'm not actually home and won't be until mid DEC. How much can you move out the bumper, and how much did you take off the bumper by grinding? Does it matter if the 2WD F250 springs are standard or hvy duty?
I plan to go to 17x8 in rims, 4.5 backspace, and use LT285/70R17 tires. I have a 96 F150 4X4 ext cab. stock.
Your thoughts?
