Trade my truck for a 2005 or newer mustang!

After all my work my wife is uncomfortable Driving the truck and wants a mustang so I told her I would get her one, anyone interested in a trade?... 1966 Ford F100.. Newly rebuilt 300 six with a 5500 rpm cam, new intake and exhaust manifold and a new exhaust system from the manifold back that exits behind the rear wheel, all new engine components such as starter, distributor, voltage regulator, water pump, belts, hoses, motor mounts, power steering pump and lots more. Truck has Power steering, disc brakes, orig 4 speed with new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bushing, also a new flywheel and ring gear, brand new DJM lowering I beams with rear DJM shackle kit, new coil springs, shocks and new king pins too. paint is acceptable, new chrome bumper, new upolstery and gauges, all the factory gauges work, even the fuel gauge though the speedo is slow. The wind shield is new but has a rock chip, new door rubbers and seals, new tires and wheels, the truck could benefit from new side and rear window glass as the guy who sanded the truck hit the glass with the sander in places. it's pretty clean inside and she runs, drives, stops and steers great, the chargeing system works great, the truck runs cool, windshield wipers, heater all work great. It has been very dependable. truck has 4.10 gears so its not a freeway flyer but I have a ford 9" with higher gearing I will throw in with the deal. This is not a show truck, just a clean dependable driver. if anyone is interested you can call me at 208 772-2996 I'm in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho about 30 minutes from Spokane, Washington

What do you hope to find in a mustang? Basic 6 cyl.? Auto or stick? This could be interesting. I've admired your truck for a while. I'm on the "coast" , but my daughter goes to school in Spokane. Send me an email or pm

To: Back265... The color is called Medium Beige Poly, when you open the can it looks like the paint went bad, it looks like a bunch of black ash got in the paint but when you spray it the paint turns the color of my truck, Weird but cool.

To: Isogrifo.... The valve cover was standard issue on later ford F100 trucks with the 300 six cylinder, I have both types but like the ford script on the newer valve cover.

Keep your beautiful truck!
There is NO newer Mustang that is worth what your truck is, think of all the time and money you put into him/her.
Find another way of getting a Rustang.

Uh...1965/66 I-6 & V8 valve covers are plain.

1967 was the first year for I-6 & V8 Powered by Ford valve covers.

Unless the valve cover has been swapped, you won't see a 1967/74 240 or 1967/96 300 valve cover without Powered by Ford embossed on it.

NumberDummy,
you sound like you're correcting him but his statement was right. He said later trucks had the script & he likes the script so he's using a later one. Maybe I missed something.

But if I understand your last sentence, you're saying that all 1967-1996 300s have the script valve cover. This is not true. The 87 up efi 300s don't have the script & I think they MAY have stopped using it even earlier than that.

Looks like I will just keep my Truck. Instead of selling my truck and buying my wife a Mustang, I had my wifes car detailed and a full service on it. Today was my day off so I went and put new tires and wheels on it and drove it to her work today, she was so happy she decided to keep it. In the end it was expensive but not as expensive as a new car and I get to keep my truck!
