There is no such BODY code of 081. The first digit is either a letter or number (1-9).
The BODY code defines the seat upholstery and whether the truck is a Standard or Custom Cab.
Since the exterior color is Sandshell Beige, and 0 (zero) resembles the letter D, the BODY code should be D81
D = Light Beige Crush Vinyl & Medium Beige Check Stripe Woven Plastic.
81 = 81B Custom Cab.
TRANS A = Ford type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission.
AXLE 24 = Dana (Spicer) 60 Rear Axle / 4.56-1 / non Limited Slip / 5,200 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.
135 net HP @ 3,800 RPM.
72 = San Jose (NorCal) Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

4Speeds4Ever,
Looks like your truck has done some traveling: built in Wayne, Michigan, ordered/sent to Atlanta, Georgia, now you have it in Maine!
Bill says it was ordered/built with the desired-by-many BW-T85N 3-speed Over Drive transmission. Does it still have that transmission in it? if so, how do you like it?

OP typed another thread saying he's having an issue with clutch chatter with his 4 speed. He said in post #154 that he knew it was originally a 352 3 speed.
So besides the swapped in 4 speed, has the engine been swapped too?
Some trucks back then ordered from Atlanta (and Pittsburgh) were assembled in Ontario Canada.

Wow, thanks guys! Yes indeed, it has gotten a few miles under its belt, eh?
Sadly, the original drivetrain is long gone. it now has a 289 and a TopLoader wide-ratio 4-speed out of a 390 Galaxie. The fella I got it from grenaded the Borg Warner (I drove it around for a while with the OD 3-speed, and it wasn't well-matched to the 3.25 gears and the lil' 289. I imagine the torque from the 352 helped a lot in that department) and I found and swapped in the Toploader for him. It had been converted to a floor-shift, which is really pretty delightful to drive around.
I see the truck was originally two-tone; how would that color scheme have looked? It is currently all Caribbean Turquoise on the outside, with white hubcaps and a white engine compartment. The original seat is still there, under a mexican blanket!

4Spd4Evr,
DANG! THAT IS A SWEET TRUCK!
Since it is a Custom Cab truck, have the grill and headlight buckets been painted white? I'd think they should be anodized aluminum.
You might want to consider to scrap a little paint off a corner spot and have a look at what's under that white....
There should also have been aluminum trim around the windshield....do you still have it - or is it long gone too?
The tailgate looks GREAT! -- What shape is the box floor in?
I don't know about those whitewalls, but I do like those hubcaps!

Well, since the headlight buckets are rusting, I'm guessing they're painted steel. The aluminum trim is either painted over or gone...I didn;t know it was supposed to be there, I can check. Someone put a lot of time and money into the bed; it's been all repaired (some bondo, but we can fix that) and rhino-lined and the rhino lining painted over in the body color. Looks good and durable!
Yes, I agree, the whitewalls and 205/75/15s have gotta go...saving up for some Wheel Vintiques 8" wide steelies and some fatter rubber...if it'll clear!

-- sweep speedometer
-- padded dash
-- aluminum grill
-- aluminum trim ring around windshield and taillights
-- script chrome emblem 'CustomCab' on door
-- aluminum trim around inside (plastic) door panels, across dash at the mid-line / bottom of padding
-- different style steering wheel equipped with car-style chrome horn ring
-- and in '65, painted dog-dish hubcaps. (For '66 models, they were stainless steel).
Of course, the buyer could request any of the above items to be deleted from the CC package if they so desired.

There should also have been aluminum trim around the windshield....do you still have it - or is it long gone too?
1965 CC package included:
Different style steering wheel with car-style chrome horn ring.
And in '65, painted dog dish hubcaps (Ford '66 models, they were stainless steel).

The Custom Cab windshield reveal mouldings are stainless steel. The headlamps doors are chromed steel on Custom Cabs, painted steel on Standard Cabs.
JC Whitney & Western Auto used to sell replacement headlamp doors that were aluminum.
1961/65 F100 Custom Cabs came with innie wheels. The 9 1/2" O.D. stainless steel hubcap (C3TZ1130A) has been reproduced. Only Standard Cabs had painted hubcaps, there were two different paint schemes.
1966 F100's came with outie wheels. The 10 1/4" O.D. stainless steel hubcap (C4AZ1130A) is the same as 1964 Galaxie. There were two different paint schemes of this painted Standard Cab steel hubcap.
Note: Ford did not offer any front hubcaps for 4WD's until 1967.
Same 3 spoke steering wheel: 1960/63 Falcon/Comet / 1961/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1967/70 F100/350 / 1966/72 Bronco.
Same Custom Cab horn ring (C3DZ13A805D): The same applications apply as the 3 spoke steering wheel (except Bronco's), ditto for the Standard Cab's horn button.
There were four versions of the horn button originally. One was marked Falcon (1960/63), another Comet (1960/63), another had the gear/lightning bolt (1961/67). In 1968, Ford replaced all...with one with the Ford oval.
Whitewall tires were first offered as an option in 1964, prior years were only available dealer installed. The width of the whitewalls on this truck are correct for the time period.
The tailgate handle was cadium plated, not painted.
It's rare to see tu-tone paint on these trucks without side mouldings...which were (like tu-tone paint), an option on Custom and Standard Cabs.
Since the truck has been repainted, I wouldn't be surprised if a prior owner removed the mouldings, filled in the holes.
The fuel cap would have been painted Wimbledon White originally. The stainless steel fuel cap was available at the parts counter.
The L/F fender emblem on this truck is from a 1966. 1965: FORD F100 above / 1966: FORD above, F100 encompassed within the emblem below.

Wow...looks like I have a mish-mash of different Ford truck parts. I sincerely appreciate all the info! I got the truck with the intention of driving the hell out of it and enjoying every second of it....so I'm not going to worry if the stainless windshield trim or hubcaps or fender badges are correct. It's a great truck and I love it! Maybe someday I'll get all **** and get the resto stuff, but for now, it's a cool driver.
