2wd to 4wd

1) It's do-able.
2) It ain't gonna be easy, and it ain't gonna be cheap (the long run would say just buy another truck that's already a 4x4, but don't think I'm trying to discourage you. Just bein' honest).
3) It won't be cost efficient to try to make it like a factory 4x4 in my opinion. If you're gonna attempt it, then do a solid axle swap and be done with it.
If you've got a local off road club, get involved. Some of the clubs where I'm from are full of weekend fabricators that know what they're doing and love to tackle projects like that. I'm sure the same can be said for your area..... It would be a good way to get it done with some qualified support that won't break the bank.
If you do it, post up and let us know what you did, how you did it, and if you had to sell a lung to pay for it.....
