Best oil to use on high mileage 95 f150?

OMG that made me laugh out loud!!!
Wow, some people think bud light is the "good stuff". Yikes!
If you haven't been using synthetic, don't switch to it at 200k. Your engine will start leaking everywhere. Use a high-quality conventional oil.
If your engine has under 50k or so then definitely switch to Mobil 1 - it's the best oil you can buy for your engine. But not at 200k.

OK OK... So Bud Light is what most of my "blue collar" friends drink (you know the not stuck up and full of them selves type). Anyway I don't really think of BL as the good stuff I'd rather grab a good 6er of Hefeweisen myself... I spent to much time over in the UK to drink BL!

Cheap But Consistent
I know this is an old forum, but it may help someone browsing through. I bought a 1995 Ford F-150 4x4 Long Bed Ext. Cab 351w.
At the time I purchased it the odo read 231,000 miles. Now the truck, parked right outside and running well, has 339,000 miles. I have used Rural King oil with MotorCraft filters every 5,000 miles for the past ~108,000 miles. I keep up with the changes and maintain the system well, but I use the cheapest Rural King oil I can. (10w30 all year ~ $9.00 for 5 qts.) I also run either SeaFoam or Lucas Oil Stabilizer every 10,000 miles or so.
I like to unhook a vacuum line and allow the engine to suck up the sea foam, it runs horrid and smokes enough to blind those behind you, but it only lasts for a mile or so.

I'll second the Rotella 15W40 (T4). Been using it in my 4.9L for awhile now. Just keep up with the oil and filter changes. Rotella is cheap and is available anywhere. You can afford frequent changes.

I'm not an oil expert, but doesnt a 5w or even 10w make you nervous on an older high mileage American V8? The tolerances aren't as tight as new engines that call for 5w or even 0w. I like 15w or even 20w for these engines, but 20w is hard to find now.
I may be wrong but didn't they call for 10w when new?

Think most folks will admit this is a subjective topic and is weighed in heavily by personal bias.
In all my Ford Trucks I use either Motorcraft or Baldwin oil filters. But I'm not opposed to using WIX or NAPA Gold oil filters. In my 1977 F-150 W/the 400 (6.6L) I use NAPA premium 10W40 conventional motor oil along with 4 ounces of Zinc additive.
In both of my 1995 F-150's (Eddie Bauer W/5.0L) and (Lightning W/5.8L) I used Motorcraft 10W30 synthetic blend.
