easier way to take out dash shell?
long story short me and my brother in law both needed red interiors, we have 2 trucks to take them out of, we ripped the one out last night and it took somewhere around 3 hours and there were many bolts that were damn near impossible to remove
is it easier to take out the dash shell with all of the heater/ventelation attached, and is it really that labor intensive, or am i missing something and its simpler than i make it out to be?

Its not a fun job getting the whole dash assy out(even worse by yourself!), there are many hidden screws and ect holding it in place. The heater/AC box will stay on the firewall only the top duct work will come with the dash. Also the wire harness is tangled in there really good so take the bulkhead connector loose along with any other connectors.
I know on the 87 to 89 years, there are 4 or 5 screws holding the dash to firewall on top. You have to drop the steering collum down and remove 2 or 3 screws from that area, and 2 bolts that mount on the sides of the cab. Pull the seat out will make it easy for you to work.

Not a fun job by any stretch of the imagination. I bought a whole dash out of a '93 EB Bronco a while back for the factory tach (a buddy's dad sold it to me for $50). It was already out, but I know it was a real PITA to get out. Not to get off topic, but that "country brown" as you call it, is that original paint? I've seen one other truck that color, but it was pretty beat so I didn't know what to make of it.
