33" tires on stock truck/wheels

I have a 1995 F150 5.8L Ext Cab 4x4, and im looking to upgrade to a larger tire size. I was thinking 32x11.50R15 but it sounds like the 11.5 would be too wide for stock rims. So then i was also considering 33x10.5R15 's which would be fine on width but probably be too tall and rub. Is there a somewhat cheap way I could fit the 33s on a completely stock truck? I know the 31x10.5R15 's would fit but that just doesnt seem like i would be going much bigger. Thanks!!

I have 33x12.50x15's on my truck (in garage). I do have a leveling kit on front (bigger springs) but I do not think its necessary to fit those tires underneath. I got the truck from my dad with them so I cannot be certain but I know 31's fit with absolutely no problem and still have some decent clearance...

on the 87-91 year f150s, you can fit 33x12.5 easy w/ little to no rubbing on stock rims.

On the 92-97 years its kind of hit and miss. Generally you cant fit 33s w/o alot of hitting and rubbing on bumps/ turns, but it depends on where your truck sits and what rims you have. Soon as i say it cant be done someone will come on w/ pics showing they stuffed them in there. Things seemed to change constantly with wheel/ride height.

yea i can fit 33x12.5 on my 88 2wd stock ride height without them touching anything but i have 15x10 rims with 4 inches of back spaceing

they are about 2 inches from the fender tho so i guess if u was to go over a big bump u would have 2 flats and a trip to the junk yard for new fenders lol

for 33's on a 95, you can make it work with a leveling kit and some trimming up front if you are hell bound on making it fit them 33's. however the way that the 33's would look the best would be to do a 4'' lift kit. you can get these fairly inexpensive(for a lift kit that is), and with one installed you wont have to worry about all the rubbing that everyone is talking about. i have a 95 with a leveling kit and 31's and they fit perfectly, and i do mean perfect... to be the safest and avoid tearin stuff up, i would suggest a 4'' lift for the 33's. all of those trucks that are earlier than 92 or 93( i forget which) have a larger wheel well so it makes fittin the 33's a little easier especially when coupled with a leveling kit. the 95 however has a smaller wheel well.

You can fit 33's on a stock 92-96 Bronk/F150/250 and 97F250. You will have to trim the inner bumper lip or space out the bumper further. The newer style bumper just sits further back. Here are pics on my 95 F350 stock suspension with 35's and the inner bumper lip cut off.

I didnt space it out, just trimmed the lip, the F350 sits way higher as I have 35's on it, F250 sits about the same in the front as a F150/Bronk as you can only fit 33's on the front of a F250.

Why 33's? They look bad azz hell.

i agree with you on the last comment on the look of the 33's, however if i squeezes them 33's in there and makes em fit, he is gunna run into issues and wish he had lifted it for the 33's or gone with a good set of 31's.

On my 88 bronk(still have) and my 96 bronk(sold) I have run 33's with no issues or regrets. 31's no matter how beefy a tire, just isnt big enough for the wheel wells on these gen fords.

Well thanks guys. It sounds like I better either go with the 31x10.5R15 or the 33x10.5R15 with a 4" lift. Im just not sure if I have the money for the lift. The 30x9.5R15 's that are on the truck now drive me nuts because they look so tiny. And its not all just for looks I go offroading just about every weekend, so the larger tires would be nice. Im not sure if the 31" 's would be much of a difference at all (looks or performance).
