Well it might be a fleet if any of them ran! The old trucks are all in various states of disrepair. I have the 360 out of the 70 right now trying to get it rebuilt and I just got a 75 F350 chassis with a 460 and C6, extended cab, three fenders, and a disk brake front end. I need a distributor for the 460 to see if it will run. I may drop it into the 70 or I may build my 360 up with 390 crank, rods, and pistons. Not sure yet and it all depends on time and money!

Thanks for the warm welcome. It is nice to have a place away from all the Chevy drivers.

I wouldn't say that too loud, one of our fellow chapter members drives a Chebby. I won't name names...he knows who he is. Course I can't say allot, I do have a Pontiac on my property taxes/auto insurance...but it was a freebie for a family member to drive; the details are a long story best left untold.

Almost forgot, I used to drive a '90 Ranger XLT...that is until someone stole it while I was at a high school football game 15 years ago. It was my first auto (bought it when I was 17) and drove it I don't know how many thousand miles. I still remember filling it's tank for less than $20 and seemed like that thing would go forever on a tank. I don't think you can beat that 2.3L bolted to the 5-speed.

Years ago (I'm talking 12-13) someone sent me an email that re-defind what all the car names meant. The Chevy was something like:
Cheap Heap Every Valve leaking Oil on Engine and Transmission; GMC was Garage Man's Companion, or Got a Mechanic Coming. I wish I could remember the Dodge & Toyota phrases.

I guess I won't mention I spent 19 years working on GM products. Funny, 4 years after leaving the dealership I've got a Jeep and 2 Fords.

I had an 88 Ranger once and it would go forever on a tank of gas. I let it go to get my 72 F-100, not a bad trade, but the F-100 sure used a lot more gas. My 01 Ranger doesn't do too bad. I get bout 25mpg out of the 2.3 with an auto.
