just picked up a 1953 ford f250 in good shape for a project starter. flathead v8, 4 speed,no bed. my question is windshield anyone have a good link to replacement windshields for our trucks and rim options. i have the 8 lug hubs and was wondering what f250 owners have been doing for rim options. do all f250's come longbed? the history on the f250 is kinda basic when web searching so if anyone has great starter links for me that would help. as of right now i am obsessed with info on this truck so any free time i have is on the web searching

Call Mid Fifty www.midfifty.com immediately and request a free copy of their indispensable catalog. It contains about every part made for the 53-56 trucks as well as a wealth of additional information and drawings. A must have for any effie owner and you can't beat the price!
The 53 cab was the same for the F100-F350 so parts such as windshield/rest of glass, weatherstripping, repair panels hood etc all interchange. The 250 and 350 had larger wheel well openings in the fenders for the larger wheels and the 8' express bed (optional on the F100) otherwise they interchange. Many convert their 250/350 into an F100. The only difference in the drivetrain is the springs, hubs and rear axle are heavier in the 250/350 and the 350 has frame doublers. If you have the original tranny it is likely a 4 speed with granny gear 1st.
