Brake controller instal gone bad - help!

Hi
I have a 09 E-350 that I need a little help with. Last week I had an RV dealer install a P3 brake controller and thins went very bad. I now have a “service advancetrac” warning on the dash, no front turn signals, back turn signals flash at a high rate, and a warning light for the traction control is on.
They said that they could not use the normal connector for brake controller hookups because the company that did my wheelchair conversion had raided it for something else. They said that they ran new wires from the brake controller to the 7 pin jack for brake power and tapped into the brake contact for signal at the 7 pin.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>I’m old school – it sounded like a flasher or bulb to me but they insist that it is all ok.
<o></o>I have no idea what they screwed up but I need help.

All you can do is take it loose and check all the fuses. Make notes of the wire colors and where it was hooked in.

Sounds like wherever they tapped in for the trailer lights, is messing up your vehicle lighting.

Where they tapped into the wiring for the brake signal may be messing up the traction control system.

Through the process of elemination we finally narrowed it some and got a fix today. The
RV company's "mechanic" - I use that so loosly - stripped wires on the harness looking for the right connections. In the process he stripped and shorted a few he should have left alone.
Props tp Veldhe Ford in Pekin IL, they have a first rate electricial tech on their staff. Repair took less than 1 hour.
Now I have to fight with the RV company to get it paid.

RV company finnaly picked up the tab for the repair. After I dropped $35,000 with them I was shocked at how they acted on this matter.

For a shop the size they are - 700+ units a year, they claim - it is hard to believe they had a issue fixing what they screwed up.

It took all the joy out of what should have been a joyful event.
