1972 C-600
I'm purchasing a 1972 Ford C-600 dump truck. I already know that it is going to require some work before it is road worthy, like brake cylinders and most likely the master cylinder and hydraulic clutch, as well as some carb work, but it does run, has low miles, good tires and the hydraulic dump bed works without leaking.
I have been searching high and low for any site that would have a shop manual for this truck, or even on online VIN decoder, but haven't had much luck as of yet. Does anyone know where I could find such resources for this truck?

Ask numberdummy nicely to decode your vin. Some one here will chime in with suggestions for manuals. As far as individual questions most of us work on our own and have experience. Some more than others but most very willing to help.I've only got 40 years in the trade.so I'm still learning, but others know much more. Just ask.OBCB

Re: 1972 C-600
OBCB, I certainly do appreciate the prompt reply! It is nice to know that this is such a responsive forum.
I'll make sure that I'm extra nice to numberdummy, if I ever request his help decoding the VIN. The part about somebody chiming in about manuals sounds encouraging, as well. I do appreciate it, OBCB.
I guess that I could go ahead and post the VIN, right now? Just in case somebody checks this thread and has an interest in decoding it?

Thanks, again, OBCB. See you around.

Re: Ford Master Parts Catalog
Hey, kaj223. Thanks for the info. I checked ebay and didn't see anything for my model year, but I'll keep checking to see if anything is offered. I saw the CD-ROM you were talking about. I searched the seller's other items and didn't see anything for mine. Maybe he'll make that addition in the future? Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

Parts C.D.
Thanks for the information, guys. I've not really checked into this forum, or this section, for a while. You've all provided a lot of good information. Thanks!
I'm finally trying to get serious about performing some repairs on this truck. I just ordered the C.D. catalog from hipoparts.com. I'll take a look at it and then decide if I need to acquire any of the other resources, or not. I'm sure I will. Resources for resources, though. I'll start with this C.D.
