John-
It is looking very good! I always consider this phase one of the most rewarding when you see it all coming together after all the dirty work. Keep us updated. I'm looking forward to seeing it all complete. I'm not sure but I think you had taken out the Volare and installing the Mustang II about the time I joined and I'm glad it is nearing completion for you.

Did you box the whole frame?

How wide are those tires? how are you going to get them under the fenders?

nope... just from the front to the cab and a section at the rear where the ladderbars connect to the crossmember

How wide are those tires? how are you going to get them under the fenders?

12.5" wide and shortened the rear end 5.5" and will use 4" tubs

Cuzin,

Very nice!

Didn't realize you had actually unpiled all the stuff on top of it and started back to work on it. Feels good, eh.

Another month and I'll have to force myself back to wiring Euphemia....Won't be anywhere near a pretty as yours though.....

a little more progress... yesterday afternoon the plan was to get the lower portion of the front fender ready to mount to the cab (tilt front end)
and start fitting up the tilt front doghouse...

well we quickly realized that to place the fender properly we needed to make sure the running board would fit between fenders...

so we had to mount up the bed sides, clamp on the rear fenders, place the running boards and clamp them...
then check the placement of the front lower fender pieces... 3 hours to do both sides... but all fits properly...
glass work to begin soon. Body man is beefing up the lower fenders...
I'm bending SS tubing bracing for the inside of the hood (stiffener)...
to hold it's shape against the cowl/firewall

pictures will be made this evening... it was way past dark last nite when we finished..

chip chip chip...

Looking good. At least you're making progress. Mine as been stalled since the hot weather hit late in June. Hoping to get some cooler weather soon so I can get back to it.

one more piece of the puzzle... hope the right side goes on Wed nite
still gotta massage the seam... add the top plate on the lower fender and make it pretty...

my advice on a tilt hood ?? if you ain't a master fiberglass wizard with lots of time...stick with metal..
