Vol-ta-drops are History
I was asked a question a few days ago by another member about where to buy a "Vol-ta-drop" voltage reducer to run 6 volt appliances on a 12 volt system.
I checked today with the folks at C&G Ford Parts, the "Vol-ta-drop" is no longer being produced, and there currently is no substitute.
So, for those of you who may be converting and are not going to be able to completely replace your 6 volt equipment; and, you had planned to use a "Vol-ta-drop" to reduce the voltage to that, you best find one and buy it now. There may be a few left out there somewhere.
Just thought I'd let ya know!

Great info , Thanks Bob
the 51 f-3 I picked up last month has been converted to 12 volt but I dont think they did anything to reduce the current at the gages?? they all seem to read really high? but I have only driven it once so far so I wasn't sure where normal should be?
