homemade pseudo-supercharger

I think my friend is nuts because he told me he was disconnecting the A.I.R. system on his 95 f250 and using the air lines for extra trottle body air induction on his 7.5 motor. I know the lines that he's talking about but I don't think that by pumping the air that should be added to the exhaust into the intake instead will add any extra MPG increase. He thinks it will be like a forced air induction but I told him he's crazy. Do you guys agree or do you think there would be even the slightest increase to anything by doing this? It can't make any boost if thats what he's thinking right? Do I laugh at him or wait to see what happens? Has anyone besides him ever done this? Wasn't that a lot of ??'s

LAME...

What a waste of time that project is. Tell him just to give it a good tune up and to keep it stock. Modifications like that will ruin the truck.

But, but, but, it might make .2 PSI on there! Lmao. Someone take his tools away, he really shouldn't be touching his motor.. Next he'll be telling you how he lost all that unessecary nose-weight by draining all his coolant.

I have seen smog pumps used on go kart engines and they don't work even from them! But it is intresting that some people ARE USING their brains(good though, but not pratical) which this country is lacking....

.....now to figure out how to hook up that weed blower.....
