My 99 PSD will start in park only when I force into park and the truck will sometimes not engage in park and roll. It will start in neutral and the shift lever is sloppy ,also it wont shift into first gear. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Lou

 

Look under the dash for a lever that the shift cable attaches to. This lever is fixed to the shifter tube by two torx head bolts. These bolts are loose, tighten them and you should be good.
Not an expert so just my best guess.

I tightened the 2 torx screws and IT WORKED, everything is good .thanks, LOU
