I'm gonna brag on my 300

those are nice...625hp off the line...either 2150 or 2300 lbs of torque if i remember right?
cat was better when they were single turbo, as far as the new trucks with emmisions equipment cummins is the way to go...but you cant be an old 3406 or single turbo c15...have you ever seen the 3408 v8 cat in person? biggest freakin v8 ive ever seen, amazing
and for the record its not true dual exhaust its one split with a y-pipe under the cab
most highway trucks average between 7 and 9 MPG...a crane, not so much

yeah i bet...ive never driven the 3408 on the road (im only 17 so i cant legally do that anyway) but i have driven it around the shop a few times for various reasons...man is that different...
i remember the first thing i was told the first time i drove an old jimmy v8..."drive it like your mad at it" and its the truth

i pulled my bronco with a stock 300, 5 speed with 31's and 3.08 gears at the county fair this year and beat both my buddies. one had a 68 chibby with a 350 and the other had a 80's dodge with a 318. i showed them inline power! and i spun out, should have pulled in second....
but for rig engines a cat is the way to go for an inline, but when a mack v8 isn't blow up, there aint nothin to hang with it. i get a chub every time i hear a straight piped mack v8

cat isnt even producing big rig engines any more...and the new engines with the new emissions are garbage...they did the wrong thing to beat emissions and now them damn cats are always in the shop for something...but pre-emissions engines cat had a damn good motor...if i were to buy a new truck itd be a cummins, even though ive been a cat man for years...cats dual turbo setup is crap too, PITA to work on, and they need 2 turbos to make the same power a cummins does with a single...they dont make em like they used to

thats what i mean...if they were smart at the very least they would have done one big and one small...i mean the two they have one of them is high pressure and one is low pressure...but they dont make any mroe boost then the one turbo on the side of a cummins...

3408s were very powerful but they were bad about breaking cranks , they had a split journal crank like Buick even fire V6s do.
