i got a 97 f-250 powerstroke and i have a exhaust leak at the drivers side manifold or y-pipe near the manifold, would this cause a power loss? it seems that when im shiften it takes a few seconds to get up and go. i have the stock cat and muffler on it could they be hurten the power maybe the cats plugged? kinda new to the powerstrokes just wonderen if anyone could help. thanks
You could be losing power from that leak. Probably loosing boost pressure. Stock cat doesnt help matters either, if your state doesnt require it, I'd remove it.
FasDepending on how bad the leak is you might not be getting full boost, but an exhaust lkeak pre turbo will yeild pretty high egts really fast so you need to be carfull and don't push it
