when we start the truck it skips and we shut it off and restart it and the skip is gone. and its a bad skip.

 

Are you getting any DTC's (codes)?

 

no none i have checked 5 times

 

fuel system could be leaking pressure overnight. when you try to crank it next time...put the key in and switch it on (but not in the crank position) and give it a few seconds then try. that will let the system build pressure from the fuel pump.

 

First, check the rear bumper for rainbow stickers. Skipping may be a sign your truck has become gay.

If no stickers are found, check for pending codes. You may have a weak COP that misfires on acceleration. Also, you may have a slow IAC causing a lean condition when moving away from idle. You might want to clean it.
