I'm getting ready to pull the topper off the back of mine and tackle some of the rust before I put another topper on... I also need to get a better look at the rubber seal around the rear cab window and see if it's salvageable or not... Might be a good time to clean the glass as I can't see squat through that window lol...

Permanently mounted the condensor and got the evaportor back in. Waiting on the drier to come in from autozone and suction hose to come in from NAP. Looks like next week to pull the vacuum.

Took the 31's off my 76 model; and mounted 37/12.50/16.5 Military Hummer tires on today. Added 3 plus inches of clearance and now my truck looks like a F250 4x4 should.
Drives great using less high rpm's and smoother ride on the road bumps as well.

Pulled the right side rotor and hub. Pulled the rotors, hubs, spindles and left driveaxle off the spare front end. Gonna take it all into Advance tomorrow to try to get the rotors turned and get the right bearings.

Well, it only took 3 parts stores and 3 hours, but I finally found all the bearings I need for the front end. Today I'm going to get the rotors turned and try to put the front end together. Then I can do the rear brakes and shocks. Hopefully not as many surprises on the rear end.

Topper is off. Started work on one side of the bed - pulled the trim off; scraped at the rusty areas to clean off the loose paint and found an area where it looks like someone smeared a thin layer of Bondo over the rust - that's all gone now. It looks like parts of this bed had been repainted once before - In a couple of areas, I scraped a layer of metallic green paint off what looks like an older layer of green paint. I acid-treated the rust with muriatic acid and I'm going to let it sit overnight before I pressure-wash that side and get it ready to primer and paint - nothing fancy, just some self-etching primer and some metallic green Rust-Oleum. I'm not going for looks at this point, just want to do something about the rust before it gets worse...
