I ordered an adjustable track bar from Jegs. Boxed the drivers side frame horn in, mocked up the 4x4 steering box, swapped the steering column shaft for the 4x4 unit, mocked up a steering shaft.

Not today, but I spent a few hours in the cold trying to get my truck running decent enough to drive around. Man, she is one cold blooded .... I, for the life of me, couldn't get the carb / choke adjusted correctly to run well in the cold weather.
Now I'm back at work and have ca couple weeks to think about it.

I did get my blower motor wired up and now have heat in the cab.

Small steps.

Installed some charging leads on the Optima yellow tops. Yeah, dual batteries.

Ordered a set of four LED rock lights from FireWire.

I dont know if I posted this update yet. But If I did I will delete. Here is what my last few weekends composed of. LED side marker all the way around now, nomore halogen anywhere. Painted my Bed and rims and desert sand color, So far im liking it. And while I was doing valve cover gaskets I decided to paint my covers white. And also got the 72 Mustang mach1/Grande closer for paint.

Ran out of 2 quarts of tan bedliner. Had to load and and drive it up to the local paint and supply store to get more bedliner,

Also got the mustang MACH 1/Grande closer to paint.

I was replacing some valve cover gaskets and felt like painting m valve covers and air cleaner lid white,

Finished tan bed, And finished tan wheels.

Nice progress. I'm going to have to break down and do led's at some point.

Since I broke my OEM turn signal switch by mistake when installing a new steering wheel a little over a year ago, I have replaced it twice with readily available Dorman replacements after the springy tab for one side or the other breaks. Last week the latest one broke and no self cancel on left signal.

Today I pulled the wheel and cut the other one off so neither side self cancels and I replaced the flasher with an electronic flasher that has a loud ticker made into it ..... sounds like a school bus I drove many years ago but at least I'll remember to cancel.

After a half dozen times removing, disassembling, reassembling, replacing, bleeding, and swearing at the control valve, I managed to get my truck to turn left, right, AND keep the ground beneath it clean!

This was actually last weekend, but my daughter insisted on taking her senior casual portraits with our truck. She loves this old thing.

My son even got into a couple of the pics:

I hope he takes his senior pics with it too.

Changed the rear diff and trans fluids, as well fixing the leaky diff cover and its respective dent.

Pulled off more parts (outer grill shell and inserts off the lt blue 2wd) to sale and test fit a light bar for a pic, to maybe help it sale to a fellow FTE member?

Gathered up some loose parts for another FTE member that is coming by the house to parts shop tomorrow.

Pulled more parts off the 76 4x4 for my 74... spare light lenses, interior trim screws, locking latch off the glove box, and the AC box from under the hood to sell. The 390 is stuck in the 76, hoping to pull it next summer for a core to rebuild. Yes, it's a 390 - the original 360 was replaced.
