I took Alice out to a cruise in and met up with Spencer and his BEAUTIFUL '73 F-100 Explorer.

Changed the spark plugs in my 78 f250. Then I changed the spark plugs on my dad's 97 Taurus (It's such a pain to get the back 3 spark plugs done on that Taurus, they are under the intake manifold.) After that I drove my truck down to the store to get stuff! In about 30 days I am going to start driving my truck every day almost!

Spent another day trying to troubleshoot my a/c. Im supposed to be pulling just under 29 pounds and most i can get is around 26, ugh, lol. Im starting to doubt the book, the manifold gauges, the vacuum pump....
I checked and rechecked every hose and connection.

I read threads on here that are sooo much more troubling than mine. And i am greatful that i can stick with these failures(practice) until i get it right.
And i have decided to throw on some Led Zeppelin, and remove the whole @!$& (blessed) a/c and throw it in the dumpster.

Thanks,,, I painted the whole thing with the silver first. I wanted the red to have the uniform silver base. I masked off the whole truck after I figured out where all the trim went and taped it. Then I cleared both at once,

So today I started installing the moldings. I think it really brings a nice contrast to the red and silver...

Do you have a picture you could post? I'm looking for ideas (and an extra wheel, too!)

Checked the opening and closing capabilities of a few tailgates, then I figured it was to hot to do much else.

That battery, spare door seals and them leaves will be fine there, till it cools off a bit.

Soaked the engine in simple green and the rolled it outsidr the garage and pressure washed it. Started painting hubs and brake shields and stuff. gotta finish cutting and grinding the posts for the body mounts to get it level.

I hear you on the heat, Rich! What have I done to my truck today? Sweated all over it!

Actually, I removed my slide-out rear bumper. My truck just lost probably 300 ugly pounds! And I probably lost a pound sweating with the oldies!
Happy hour!

David
