This weekend I dropped a newly rebuilt 351m into my truck. Guy I bought it from said it had 3-5000 miles on it. Runs way better than the worn out 400 that was in here

Exclamation NASCAR in the morning, a wrecked mess by night

Here is my 1998 NASCAR F150. I had a small fender bender...I put a ding in the grill, bumoer, fender and hood.

I always keep full coverage on all my 4 trucks and 2 cars but found it disturbing that Progressive totaled my truck over such a minor deal?

EDIT: I am sorry guys....wrong year model post. I didnt mean to tie up your board...I tried to delete it but couldn't figure how

My cousin had a '75 when I was in my teens (I think he still has it). It had a 12" lift with 40" Hawgs on it w/460 and 4 speed...I thought he was God reincarnated..LOL

We beat that thing to death but it still kept rolling....

Memories...

Today's little project...

I really think it cleans up the side profile, and makes the head on view more symmetrical. Plus I couldn't ever get mine to sit at a 90* angle

i know that feeling zip i had one stolen out of my 78 when it was in the shop with doors locked they had to break in through a window up on top stole it and about $1000 worth of stuff and 3 five gallon buckets full of bronze letters to my dads old printing press and there is no clue how much that would be worth now and they probably tried to sell it as brass.....

I'll unload a 30 rd clip in the general direction of any "scrapper" in my neck of the woods no questions asked.

You come down my dead end road, you better be invited or you will get a free 12G buck shot/or slug tailgate modification.

Thieves are stupid targets IMO....

I bought a vacuum gauge, timing light, thermostat and instrument panel light bulbs. Pulled all of my plugs and pulled the t-stat before the sun went down. Jump on the rest in the morning. Might go get a distributor tomorrow.

Today I sealed a deal on a free donor truck from a friend at work. It is an 87 f150 efi 4.9L I will be transplanting it into my 74 highboy. I'm hoping it will be a great torquey engine for my truck until I can afford an cummins swap.

Any help or advise on the swap will be very appreicated. My main concern is all the wiring for the efi and ecm.

The reason I am going down this road is because I recently distroy my cleveland engine in it when the air breather stud rattled into the carb while tuning. I wasn't happy with the 4v headed cleveland motor anyhow. lots of high rpm ponys no low end torque.

Do like I did and swap in a 429 thunderjet I originally wanted to swap in a cummins, too.. It didn't help matters that I already had the thunderjet laying around..
