Started cleaning my intake before a storm rolled in. Nice to know it was actually once blue and not always dirt brown lol

I did something I was never able to do with the vacuum brakes, locked them up. Driver ahead of me came to a stop apparently at the same time I looked over my shoulder to see if I could move over (55mph four lane.) I left some crooked skid marks but was able to saw it back and forth to keep in my lane. Shortboxes don't like to stay in a straight line.

So I was wondering why my truck felt like such a gutless wonder the past few days. I checked the accelerator pump (brand new) and it did not work AT ALL. Amazing thing is, other than being sluggish down low, it drove perfectly fine. The pump cup had separated from the rest of the pump. I repaired it and used an O ring to keep it on tight, reassembled the carb, and was pleasantly surprised with the added performance!

Wired the PWM and the coolant system is working well. Temp holds dead at 180 whether idling in traffic or at 70 on the freeway.

Drove the 77 to get parts for the others...

Changed the primary battery cables in the 78...

#2 tinned copper wire and tinned copper lugs

Worked on the non-starting 79. When the battery gave up, so did I...

I installed a horn in my truck. It is the first time I have had a real horn in it since I have had it. It sounds like it came from a 40 year old toyota. It is not intimidating at all. I laugh like hell every time I hear it.

So I got new dual exhaust with flowmasters put on the other day. Sounds good now. Rebuilt the entire front end and it still wandered like a drunken sailor. Time for a new steering gearbox. I checked with napa, O'reilley's, autozone, etc. None could get ahold of a '77 f150 4x4 power steering gear box. Called Redhead and they had one to my door the next day . Awesome.
