Working on a driveline vibration problem that I had for a while and I think I just found it.

After replacing my driveline (Yes its in phase), U-joints, tires, rims and checking the transfer case output berring and the pinion berring I finally found what seemed to be a loose transfer case. Looks to have excess play in the lower transfer case mounts. It's too greasy for me to do a good visual inspection but it looks like it is moving between the pad and the lower brace.

Next week I'll have the chassis cleaned and I'll start replacing the mounts.

6" Lift kit is next.

Let's see. I checked all the fluids topped everything off including the gas tanks. Loaded 'er up and took off!!! Drove about 235 miles to a buddy's house and then with it snowing like crazy and 3 inches already on the ground we commenced the wheelin'!!!! Spent the better part of the day with the peddle on the floor running thru corn fields and big ole mud holes!!! then drove another 235 miles back home, and now she's out front sleepin it off. I was pretty close with my previous post guessing I'd put about 200 in gas thru 'er. but in all actuality it ended up being closer to 300. lol Good times!!!

Gas tank, cluster, cluster bezel, grille, radio bezel, radio (with CD & Tape) all from a 1998 ranger I rolled

2 rear windows from an 86 Bronco II (yes the ones that cost too much)
abd a set of gabriel gas rider LT shocks, never used, just scratched from being in the garage.
I have an entire 98 Explorer Sport in there too
Once I get the tires and rims here, I have a set of steel rims with tires for sale, or I may trade them out for the magnesium rims on my truck now and sell them.

I've put it all up for sale on here a few tiems a peice, with no takers.

I aint lookin for much our of the parts, just enough to replace my blackberry.

couple of hours of work every other day since I bought the truck trying to get it up to speed. Today had to trace down why the truck will not idle as well as it did before I changed the plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. Turns out I had a cracked spark plug that was screwing things up. Fixed it today, and the truck is running like a sewing machine. Next is the master cylinder, then the u-joints and the blower motor that has went out. Then replace all the vacuum lines and then finally the paint job.

I agree, how much did you guys get?
we got almost 3 foot of snow.

and for future reference, with a 390, it doesn't take ANY effort at ALL to get your truck sideways.

idk whats com over her, she wasn't like this last winter.

I think we have had 47inches this year. Also I heard on the news that we have had more than an inch if snow on the ground for 76 straight days. We are supposed to get 2-3 inches today!

Well, when I got new tires for my truck a month ago I noticed the old silver steel wheels were pretty dirty when I had the hubcaps pulled off. So today I removed the hubcaps and scrubbed the wheels with a brush and some degreaser. I noticed the back side of the front hubcaps were filthy from the disk brakes so I scrubbed them too. You can't tell it looks better, but I feel better about it...lol

I went and loaded the bed full of firewood, heaped up with 4' logs, high as she'll go. Got snow coming tomorrow in Mich. and I won't unload it for a few days, better traction and rides better!
