Not today, but Tuesday morning I took a ride into town only to discover my factory style fuel filter spraying gas handily onto the intake manifold.
Replaced that in the parking lot at NAPA.
Then later that afternoon while out for another little run into town the starter gave up the ghost shorting out internally and smoked off.
Replaced that in the parking lot of a prospective employer.
Fun, fun...

It happened just as I was leaving to go out of town on business.
I took about three days and when I got back I put in a claim (have comprehensive insurance on the truck). I don't know how much they are going to pay for, but the truck is headed for the shop on the tow truck now.
TL DR: Regrouped, and putting it in shop for FIX.

I have been going a different route with my truck. As in it's going to become a parts truck.
I bought another one and the PO said that they blew the clutch out at the same time the rear end went out. so pulled the NP 435 to replace the clutch and found this.
Brocken input shaft.
I got a new input shaft and installed it. Got the Transmission back in and the transfer case installed. Now to get my other Dana 60 swapped in and I'll be ready to go.

I went out to the shop and figured I might turn a few wrenches on the '77. First off was going to swap in a new speedometer cable. Easy right?!? No. I barely pulled the cluster out and this happened.
The cluster housing CRUMBLED!! I guess I need to go ahead and rehab this whole piece now with LED bulbs and maybe a silver face. Oh well, guess I'll have to hop on the F6B instead.
Is there anything I need to replace or inspect while I have apart?
