What Have YOU Done To Your Truck Today?

I would recommend purchasing the proper adapters for the carb so that you can run high pressure fuel injection hose onto a barbed fitting with 2 spring loaded hose clamps, run a true braided stainless line with proper AN fittings, or keep the hard line, for safety reasons. Too many old cars burn because people use cheap hose or put a single worm clamp over a cut off piece of metal tubing, or whatever ghetto thing they could rig up. Its worth spending a few bucks to do it right. As for LOOKs, personally, I think nothing is sexier than seeing stainless steel or aluminum hard lines, bent precisely and artistically. And they have the advantage of not flopping around and scratching/sawing everything under the hood, as braided stainless has a nasty habit of doing.
That is AWESOME! Did you use templates or is that all free hand? I'm impressed.
When you say racetrack, are you talking upper or lower? I'm looking for the thin upper trim for the driver's side of an 8' bed. The kind with no rubber in the middle, just the thin metal that comes to a little peak.

Didnt do much notable, just installed the front grill and bumper.
Well actually the "Wife" installed the grill and bumper while I welded away on the front rocker on the 56 F100.
Its amazing how much the little things improve things. Installing the grill and bumper make me fee good about how far the truck has come. And the LONG time it took me to get it here. One week end at a time(weather permiting )
This is how I got her.
After the First parts truck!
And the body donor!!
Now I need to get the 35's out of storage!

HAHA well too late you want it? That factory intake weighs like 100 pounds. My new one doesn't weigh 20 pounds so that's a plus. My 2bbl carb needs rebuilt. I traded a tv for the Holley and Performer intake so I feel I made out like a bandit. I have $40 in this swap and all I'm buying Wednesday is plugs, wires, and a coil. I also got a new water pump and those valve covers in the trade. I don't need a water pump but I figure its a JIC part.

Well if he got a small 4bbl carb and a factory 4bbl intake I can see that. I went the performance route. Not crazy but better than before. As far as economy goes I wont be happy until I'm getting gallons per mile not miles per gallon.
