I started on installing my door rubber. I got the passenger side window rubbers in. Material came from Precision Restoration. So far everything is fitting very good and quality seems to be decent. The cab side molding is not exactly like the OEM Ford. It does not have the little flat / wide strip that goes under the aluminum threshold but I don't think that will be a problem. I did a test fit (without glue) and its a little long and will need to be trimmed but that looks good to.

I was hoping to have the whole thing done tonight because its suppose to drop into the 40's very soon but I'm slow... haha

Working on the Dent is good therapy and a nice stress reliever.

Finally washed off the dirt from sitting. Getting back on it now that I have room to work on it again at the new house. Got my new carb yesterday, now time to pull the engine and swap freeze plugs seals and gaskets and send the valve covers and air cleaner in to be powder coated

Smokenchoken - Keep the faith brother, I'm sure mom and baby boy are alright. Some times us boys are just a little lazy.

Well, Friday I finally soaked the screws with PB Blaster, removed the grilles to give me room to hold the tabs with pliars while I backed out the screws holding the headlight retainer rings from the buckets so I could pull out those 25 plus year old 7" GE Sealed beams and install some new Sylvania XVs. Them old ones I put in back in the '80s had almost lost all the chrome reflector surface on backside, as much light going out back as out the front.

The buckets are pretty rusty, soon need new ones ..... but the threads for the retaining screws are still there so I coated those screw threads and put them back. The screws look good for 35 years, suspect stainless steel maybe?

She'll light the way home tomorrow night some better I expect
.
Just an update ...... it's now Dec 6th , and I've driven her home several nights now .... same charging system, but the new Sylvania XtraVision sealed beams with real reflectors look like they are gonna set the roadside brush on fire compared the ones I had in it. Funny how "used to a vehicle" you can become over many years and just accept that lights are dimmer .... when they really don't need to be.
