95 psd slow to start

I have a 95 psd that has never given any problem. 167100 miles and tonight I shut it off and went back an hour later and it would not start. I have a wait to start light and a tach. No light smoke when I crank. Fuel in the tank. After I got mad and cranked for about 15 seconds it started but rough for about 5 or 10 seconds. I did not shut the truck down until I got home about an hour later and then after shutting it down I tried to start it again just for kicks. Same thing, it started after 10 or 15 seconds of cranking. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My 97 F350 PS had that problem. I ended up have 1 dead battery and one weak one. I check the voltage on the glow plug relay and with the key on it was 10.18 VDC. with my new batterys it is 12.65 with the key on. The engine spins allot faster and starts right up. Hotrod1783

Thanks for the reply. I just replaced the batteries and glow plugs about a week before the problem occured. I replaced the CPS and found out quickly that was not the problem but on the up side I have a spare now. The IPR was bad. The truck is back to normal now. duece

I am glad that you found the problem. Everyony said my glow plugs were bad. I am glad I check my batterys though.
