Driver's Side window makes noise...

So my drivers side window makes noise when rolling it down and the drivers door lock doesn't go down when you lock it with the power locks. Not the biggest deal but I don't want the window to break when it's rolled down in the snow some time and it would be nice to be able to lock the car fully with the keyless remote. I'm guessing moisture has gotten in their and mucked things up. I'm thinking of taking the door apart, but I was just curious if this is a common problem and how much effort it will take to fix it.

Not sure about your window, but your door lock is probably a bad actuator.

When i hit the power locks it acts like it's going to lock but it only goes down part way and stops.

That's what they do when they start going bad.

It just might need to be lubricated. Get a can of spray white grease, pull the door panel off and spray the metal tracks.

It sounds like your door lock actuator is going bad. You might be lucky and it might just need to be lubed. Either way you will probably have to pull the door panel off. I would also lube the window tracks while you are there.

I got the door panel off but I'm not exactly sure where to spray the grease into.

Spray the grease/oil on any point where two pieces contact. Spray the whole lock assembly and also the lock actuator .

I actually already did just that and the lock works great now.
