Hey guys I'm back. Well me and buddy finally got a chance to clean his IAC Valve on his truck and it idled great for about 5 minutes and he gave it some gas, it kept running good and all the sudden its idling way down and it shut off. He cranked it right up and kept his foot on the pedal ever so slightly for about 2 minutes it finally idled right. We took it down the road and got back to my house and stopped at our gate and she shut off. Cranked right up and finally idled fine. Any suggestions on what could Cause this? thanks

Might be a good idea to replace the IAC valve. How long since last tuneup (plugs, wires, fuel filter)?
Have you checked for trouble codes?

 

agree, replace the iac, ive cleaned them before but it only helped a little.

 

Well actually he bought it about 2 months ago and right before he bought it, it had a tune up. But we got it fixed, we took it all apart and put it back on and then took the TPS and tuned it to the right specs and adjusted the idler screw I believe it was and it was running good.
