Need 12 volt hot power source...

looking for a 12 volt unswitched power source.

I am going to hook up a CB Radio and I want to be able to turn it on with out the key in the ignition.

Obviously I could run a lead right to the battery but I am looking for a clean power source.

there is a hot wire that feeds the fuse box good power souce hot all the time but becareful not to ground the 10 or 11mm socket on metel in the dash when removing the nut

i would also put a in line fuse on that wire close to the sorce of power ( + )

Wouldn't a wire directly to the battery be cleaner than any other source? Then you wouldn't have any static being developed by the alternator, heater fan motor, turn signals or any other electric component.

I guess I misunderstood your post. I thought you meant "clean power" not clean looking. I see what you are getting at.

There should be a bundle of four wires by the PCM and the e-brake marked "customer access." These wires pass through the fire wall to the engine bay for these kinds of additions.

Chris is right, right next or behind the OBD port, you'll see a wire harness, a plug in of sorts, tap into the hot from there, I want to say red with blue trace but not certain. I ran mine right to the battery, its clean.
